This last week we heard from Janelle Speight, who gave a fascinating presentation on social media, its role within our club, and the particular platforms that we use to promote the Club and also the Wahroonga Village Fair.
Even those of us who are less familiar with the subject found it well explained and are in awe of the amount of time and effort needed to keep the sites up-to-date, informative and interesting. Thank you to Janelle, and to Ian Cameron for your huge contribution to our club, and for keeping it in the forefront of people’s minds.
I took the opportunity to present the District Youth Award shield to Bob Howe and all the Youth committee members who were present. Bob’s excellent spreadsheet had formed the basis of his submission to District. It was no wonder that the District Governor, in her words when making her presentation, made particular note of the enormous amount of money this committee has raised over the last 15 years, all for youth-related projects.
This is my last report for the newsletter. I wish Sallianne and her team well for the upcoming year.
