Wahroonga Rotary spent $39,000 in 2023 2024 on Youth Projects - many of which were District events such as RYLA where we sent another 5 young people.
We also participated in the Wine Women and Song event run by Sallianne. This ensured we also supported Jim Jam Music, KYDS and Streetwork who all provided wonderful and varied prizes for the night that resulted in a net return of $19,000.
ABBOX, Bursaries for St Lucys and St Edmunds (with the superb help of the Craft Stall at our Fair in December), The Science Awards for Turramurra and Killara, NYSF awardees and the PCYC kids in Crisis all benefited again this year.
We did not send students to the Summer RYPEN for students going into Year 10 as we had no candidates nor can we send students to MUNA this year as it is being held out of Term. We will pursue these for 2024 2025.
Our District submission is attached here for your information.
We are delighted to have won the District Award for Youth for this year but we still believe we have a lot more to do and we will continue to look to the future to achieve more in the Youth sector.
Sincere thanks to all the members of the Youth Committee and the Boards of Wahroonga Rotary for supporting our endeavours over the past 15 years.
