OUR MEETING THIS WEEK

Our Meeting this week is to be held at the PCYC facility at 1 Park Lane Waitara a joint meeting with the members of the Hornsby Ku-ring-gai Rotaract Club and the Guest speaker will be Lucy Dahill to outline a new project-a record breaking attempt to be conducted in March 2020 to be called the "The Community Sock Project". This project is planned to raise $40,000 and is in conjunction with  Ku-ring-gai Council.

It has been suggested we might like to wear a pair of mismatched/outrageous socks to contribute to the projects launch.

After the meeting, around 9.00 am for an hour, Janelle has arranged to celebrate Grand Kids Day, having invited members who wish to bring some of their grandchildren to the PCYC facility, to join in some gymnastic activities under the supervision of PCYC instructors.

Peter Smith has advised during the week -

"I’m pleased to report bookings are starting to come in for the Bush Fire relief wine tasting on 18 March 2020.

If you wish to book ($50 per head donation) and require a tax deductible receipt please make your payment to our Rotary Club Projects account: BSB 032-189  Acc No.790 275 and mark it with your name and the word ‘tasting’, and advise Peter of your donation.

If you are staying for dinner you can pay on the night- -$40 per head, some of which will be donated back by the venue to the fundraiser.

Thanks everyone- it promises to be a great night!"

Our roving photographer spotted two of our "Wise Heads" chatting at the Coffee break after the meeting last week (below)--so we are looking for a suitable caption--Sergeant David will be happy to receive your contributions.
