In 1959, the State Government of Queensland invited local Rotary Clubs to help plan an event to help celebrate the upcoming centennial of the state. The 2021 Rotary Peace Fellowship application is now available, and we need your help finding the next cohort of global peace and development leaders.

As a Club president, you play a critical role in keeping members informed about the Rotary Peace Centers programs. Encourage club members to use their professional and social contacts to find potential candidates. They can also support the program by coaching candidates through the application process and connecting them to districts that can endorse their applications, a required step in the application process.

An elegant event at Knox Grammar school on Australia Day held by the Ku-ring-gai Council saw the induction of 176 new citizens from 27 countries and several awards to major contributors to our successful Community.
The Citizen of the Year award was granted to Lucy Dahill on behalf of our community for her wonderful work in particular in the area of supporting young people.
A number of Club members attended the event and shared in the celebration - Phill and Shirley, Christine and David, Peter, Janet, Ian and Jo-Ann.
Lucy was sharing the occasion with her family but received a surprise as her wonderful father Michael had flown in for the occasion--what fun!
The Ku-ring-gai Council sponsors an annual event for the Senior members of our Community:
Following recent collaboration with Council staff we have allocated two of our Club breakfasts listed as part of the festival - Wednesdays 12th and 19th February.
