Kopanang Re-visited--great progress
We had the pleasure of a visit from Sr Sheila at our meeting last week, and she told of the heart warming stories emanating from her wonderful work with the women at the Kopanang Refuge in Tanzania. Sr Sheila is an inspiration -- acting Chairman David Russell presented a cheque for $5000 to assist in maintaining her successful work at that Refuge.

The young folks support the Four Way Test
Three local school students Chantelle (Turramurra High) Brandon (Barker College) and Melissa (Abbotsleigh) debated the merits of the Rotary 4 way test at our club meeting this week.
THE FOUR WAY TEST  Is it the truth?
Is it fair to all concerned?
Will it build goodwill and better friendships?
Will it be beneficial to all concerned?

An engaging discussion adjudicated by Noel Cislowski, AM (Chatswood Rotary)

A million reasons to be thankful
Our meeting this morning was a great event--with 70 people in attendance to hear our Guest speaker Dick Smith AO talk about his vision for Australia. Dick was introduced to the members and guests by old school friend and Wahroonga Charter member Rob Ferguson.
There was also another reason for Dick's visit and that was to present to National RAWCS Chairman Michael Perkins a cheque for $A1million for projects to be administered by the Rotary Australia Benevolent Society--to be launched in February 2017.

Present also were DG Bruce Lakin, Michael Whitehouse- RAWCS National Treasurer, RAWCS National Administrator -Belinda Griffen, Pip and Dick Smith AO, Keith Roffey- Donations in Kind National Manager, and Wahroonga Rotary Club President Neil McWhannell
