Our meeting this week was treated to a walk through by Joan Giacometti and Jan Cameron of the history and success of the Club's relationship with the Lotus Centre in Mongolia--which arose out of our involvement in that location in 1995 when the Club encouraged by the then Club President Bob Quodling and Phil Hinton  to bring to Australia for heart surgery--- a very sick young girl from Ulanbataar (capital of Mongolia) --who was the daughter of a local police sergeant and an associate of Phil Hinton's son Sean who lived there.

It has been an amazing story of Rotary In Action!

Rob Ferguson thanked the girls for their dedication over many years in raising in excess of $200,000 for the Lotus Centre.  Click here for The Mongolian Story
